Pixar’s Coco Trailer #3 Travels Into the Land of the Dead
Disney and Pixar release a new trailer for Coco ahead of the film’s fall release date. Since the animation studio’s rise to popularity, Pixar has made sure its slate of films features a mix of original ideas and sequels, though recent years have leaned a little more heavily on followups to their previously successful endeavours. After releasing two original projects in 2015 – the wildly successful Inside Out, and the somewhat less successful The Good Dinosaur – Pixar debuted only one movie in 2016, the Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory, and kicked off 2017 with Cars 3.
Looking ahead, Coco is the last remaining original project on Pixar’s announced slate; the only other films are The Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 – which are, arguably, very highly anticipated. Plus, Pixar has a handful of dates staked out for 2020 and 2021 that will likely include original projects. As for Coco, the film is poised to be Pixar’s big family film during the holiday season at the tail end of 2017. And, in order to continue promoting the upcoming animated feature, a new teaser has been released.
